An avid gardener loves to plant. The novice gardener as well can join in the activity and have beautiful flowers growing by the summer season. Bulbs. Us gardeners seem to want to plant lovely bulbs to enlighten our garden year after year. The colors of these great bulbs add a brush of color to every garden splendor.

A bulb you will want to put on your list to plant is the ever famous, Dahlia flower. The planting time you wil need to pay attention to is the May time frame. This is also after all the spring flowers have faded away and made their showing. So, go ahead and plant your bulbs in May.
The dahlia is a tuberous bulb. The bulb is kind of related to the iris bulb. When planting, make certain you have included some of the root folicles from the bulb to place down in the ground.
This will asure proper blooming and plenty of progation is going on as well. You can divide the plant at a later date. The following is the how to plant your garden bulb of dahlia:

1. Dig a hole in the earth of about four inches deep. Make sure you have a four inch in diameter as well for the lenght of the bulb.

2. Place the dahlia in the prepared hole of the earth.

3. Now cover the dahlia with some good loamy top soil.

4. Now you are complete with the planting.

At a later time of the summer's almost end you will have the most beautiful flowers growing the view of your kitchen window to enjoy while you are basking in the morning sun.

Look for next week's tip.
