Keeping a garden journal

Keeping a garden journal

The spring season is upon us now. After gathering and shopping through the garden magazines that arrived in the mail all winter it's that time to get out your trusty notebook and start journaling. It's fun. It will keep you focused on what is growing in your garden. You will be able to track and rely on your good record keeping for future planting and ideas. It works. I've kept a journal for years. You would be surprised at your good skills at writing as well. You can use it later in your life. You will have to wait and see.

1.Go and purchase an inexpensive notebook. You can make it personal by adding stickers or some of your own illistrations.

2. Daily journaling is good. With the planting season here you can track the time your tomtatoes bloom. The you can add the date you planted outside. Then when they started their first bloom!

3. Finally, use some of the resources from the internet, library and garden centers has great information that is very handy.

Happy gardening..

See next week's tip...Planting vegetables on a budget..
